About Our Church

A Heart of Grace in the Heart of Greenfield

"Sharing the Good News of Christ by witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps to the ends of the Earth."

The Purpose of Greenfield Christian Church is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to seek in all persons a faith in and commitment to Jesus Christ; and to serve the community of which we are a part. The congregation will work cooperatively with all persons who seek the oneness of the body of Christ and in all ways, make known the love of God.

Welcome to Greenfield Christian Church

Greenfield Christian Church is a congregation with "a heart of grace in the heart of Greenfield."  OK, it is a "catchy phrase," but it is much more.  Here you will experience lively worship services, develop meaningful relationships and have the opportunity to serve the community and the world in life-changing ways, all in the context of a fellowship of believers grounded in the love and mercy of God.

As part of the family of churches known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) we do not have the "brand name" recognition of some other denominations, and to some degree that is good.  We never set out to be a denomination in the first place, but rather to be a movement to foster the unity of the church for the sake of Christ's mission.  Nevertheless, we evolved into a distinct group within the universal church and as such have a particular identity and culture.
We currently see ourselves as "a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world."  One of our distinctive characteristics is the weekly celebration of communion around the Lord's Table.  All those present in worship who believe in Jesus are invited to participate with us, remembering the last meal that Jesus shared with his friends.

We invite you to explore more about us by checking out the additional pages listed below, or better yet, come join us for worship on Sunday morning, or stop by the church and ask to see Pastor Frank. You are always welcome!
